How to save a place from Instagram to a map
Open the Reel or post
Choose a supported post with an identifiable place. Private, unavailable, or ambiguous content may not produce a usable result.
Share it to Dream Trip

Collections are folders, not maps
Instagram lets you file a post into a collection called Lisbon. That is genuinely useful right up until the moment you are in Lisbon, because a collection cannot tell you what is near you, what is open, or how to fit six saved places into two days.
A map can. That is the entire difference, and it is the reason people end up copying places into a notes app by hand.
The bit nobody wants to do
The manual version of this is: watch the Reel, pause it to read the sign in the background, guess the spelling, search Maps, find the right one of three results, save it, repeat. For one place that is fine. For thirty it does not happen.

Common questions
Can I save an Instagram Reel to Google Maps?
Not directly. Google Maps cannot accept a shared Reel, so the place has to be identified and searched for by hand. Dream Trip takes the shared post itself.
What if the post has no location tag?
A clear place name or other context may be enough, but the result is not guaranteed. If a post is ambiguous, check the place manually instead of relying on an uncertain match.
Can I share the map with friends?
Yes. Trips are collaborative, so everyone you invite can add places to the same plan rather than sending each other links.
